A yellow pangi seed bead with a hole for jewelry making.
The pangi seed is hollow and the hole was added later. The pearl is approx. 45mm long, 32mm wide and 16mm high. There are two cord holes of approx. 2.2mm diameter.
Pangi seeds grow on the pangi tree in the Philippines. After harvesting, they are dried and processed into various pangi seed pearls. Pangi seed pearls are also available whole (i.e. without a hole) or in slices. The pearls are dyed; the color still allows the characteristic grain to be recognized.
Pangi seed beads are ideal for making very unusual and eye-catching necklaces.
